Storey Creek Golf Club and Recreation Society is an award winning golf course with practice facilities, dining at the Creekside Grill, and golf professionals on hand to help you improve your swing. Learn more.
If you are 50 years or older, consider joining the Senior Men’s Club. We play every Thursday staring in April and finishing the end of September. We do play some extended winter golf as well.
What is senior golf?
In playing on Thursdays, you pay $5.00, draw for hole assignments on a reverse shotgun set up and play in a group with some of the 60 to 70 senior members.
Money is paid out for gross winners in two divisions, 50-69 and 70 and over and also net winners overall.
More net prizes than gross are paid out.
We have closest to the pin in two categories determined by handicap for 15 and under and 16 and over handicaps.
Similarly we have two ‘pots-of-gold’ determined by handicap for 15 and under and 16 and over.
Of the $5.00, $1.50 goes to a year-end lunch the last Thursday in September.
We also have ball draws each week for those who are unfortunate not to win that day!
We have two exchanges with the Ladies club through the year.
We have a match play competition.
A stroke play event determines the Senior Men’s club champion.
We host a Mid Island Senior Tournament (MISGA) each year. For a reduced amount and if space is available our members are allowed to attend.
We are members of the Mid Island Senior Golf Association (MISGA), an association of senior golf clubs ranging in courses from Arbutus Ridge to Storey Creek. Costs to join this association are $5.00 for a one-time, lifetime fee and $5.00 per year. Joining this association allows each golfer to attend a golfing day at 18 different courses with reduced fees and a meal.
We have fun!
